How to Jailbreak iOS 7.1.1 and iOS 7.1 Untethered with the Help of Pagnu

Pagnu is the latest software available for Jailbreaking. Also it is now the easiest way for you if you want to Jailbreak your device running iOS 7.1 or iOS 7.1.1. This tool is not yet available for OS X and users have to use windows platform to run this tool to Jailbreak their device. Tool can be used to Jailbreak any iPhone, iPad, iPod running above mentioned iOS.

Before Starting

Back up all your content using whichever way you like. In case you rely on iTunes, download latest version to your device and create backup on iCloud. Check version of your device to make sure you are following procedure for correct version of iOS.

Step by Step Guide

Follow these simple steps (but carefully). Snapshots for every important part are given, consult them wherever needed.

Step 1: Download Pangu iOS 7.1.1 jailbreak. It is available free from Mega for Windows. Connect your device running iOS 7.1 or iOS7.1.1 (double check the version).

Step 2:

Launch the tool, it will look something like the figure below. Make sure you uncheck the box highlighted otherwise you will end up having an unwanted Chinese app in your phone (that’s a piracy software).

Step 3:

After that, click on the big black button with four question marks on it. It will start jailbreak process.

Step 4:

After the process is complete, it asks you to set date and time of your device. You will have to turn off automatic time setting features by going to Settings, navigating to General and there in “Time and Date” settings. After turning off automatic setting, set date and time manually to 02 June 2014 and 20:30 (8:30pm).

Step 5:

After these settings you will see your home screen. Tap on the Pagnu icon on it which is not there on your home screen and wait for a minute or too. That’s all. Your device is now Jailbroken and has Cydia installed.
